Analyis of the race

Another low-grade handicap. BODDEN BAY, an all-weather regular, coming back from a four-month break, was in rude health and came out best in a spirited finish, in which all of the principals were wide on the track.

Chairman Bobby, who made much of the running, went down fighting in second, just ahead of Haulage Man, who did best of those coming from off the pace.

Petite Mac ran creditably in blanket finish, and Paddywack, entering the autumn of his career, produced an encouraging comeback performance.
