Top-weight Glen Warrior, a winner here last March and fourth in this race 12 months ago, did well given his welter burden.
Course winner Trust Fund had put in a couple of spectacular leaps, one on each circuit, and he looked likely to hold on when coming down two out. He deserves compensation.
Coursing Run battled on well again for fourth after losing his place, while Auburn Spirit tried to make all, but he was always being harried for the lead.
You Owe Me could be given a chance simply on the basis of his two previous wins here, but he didn't fare as well this time, nor did Joseph Beuys, who had got off the mark at Folkestone last month and looked to have a fair chance on form.
