A fair clip to this handicap hurdle in which bumper winner SEYMAR LAD confirmed the improvement he had shown recently. He handles soft ground well, and is better than the bare result as he ran a bit green. Although he may well find another race over hurdles he looks a long-term chasing prospect.

August Rose continues to run quite well, and the step back up to this trip seemed to suit her well. She should be able to find a small race. Merryvale Man was able to dictate, but he's never won over this trip and ran out of stamina. Nevertheless, this was a solid effort on his part as he was well clear of the rest who were headed by Kidithou, who ran his best race for a while, and Political Cruise, who has a poor strike rate. Considering he got behind after early mistakes Ireland's Eye didn't fare too badly on ground that suited.
