Sunset King ran poorly at Ludlow last time but his previous effort in soft ground at Wincanton gave him a chance in this company. He kept on fairly well, finishing clear of the rest, but this effort only went to emphasise why he is still a maiden after 25 starts on the Flat and over timber.
Grand Prairie was having his first outing over hurdles since May but had had a spin on the all-weather earlier this month so a lack of fitness should not have been a concern. Tianyi, back over hurdles after being pulled up over fences last time, prefers faster ground.Falmer For All's rider reported that the gelding lost his action.
