A potentially informative hunters' chase, with several of these having already shown very useful form over fences, but a couple of them did not run up to their best. However, that should not detract too much from an impressive return to action by TELEMOSS, who was asked to do no more than necessary to prevail, sent to the front before the last fence and scoring comfortably. He had not achieved as much as might have been expected in professional contests over fences, but he seemed to benefit from thisless exacting competition, always travelling smoothly, and is just the sort who could make his mark in the best hunters' chases.

Gielgud has run well fresh before and did so again here, leading from six out - and though he had no response when thewinner went by, he kept on to come clear of the rest and looks up to winning in this grade.

Spring Margot showed useful form in winning a handicap at Stratford only last May, but was well below that form here - he made a bad mistake at the third and was never travelling strongly thereafter, but he may be worth another chance.
