A striking performance by ALFIE FLITS, who had a double penalty but always looked like completing his hat-trick, moving smoothly into the lead 3f out and scoring comfortably. He would have to be taken seriously if he lined up for one of the big bumpers at Cheltenham or Aintree but he travels like a horse who should make his mark on the Flat. His trainer has won big handicaps with bumper horses in the past and this four-year-old could be just the sort to follow suit.
Asrar confirmed the promise of her debut effort while Action Strasse should do better as should Triple Deal, who moved up well over 2f out but seemed not to get home. He is bred for the Flat and may benefit from less testing conditions.
Hot Zone kept on, shaping as though stamina was his long suit.
