Analyis of the race

The first three drew well clear of the rest in the straight. MALKO DE BEAUMONT, twice a Flat winner in the French Provinces had run quite well last time, and having travelled well throughout won convincingly.

Rosses Point is running consistently and had every chance, but found the winner too good.

Point, pulled up last time, jumped all right and stayed on in the closing stages. There may be more improvement to come now.

Lady Lambrini, 3lb out of the handicap and a winner of a point. Plugged on at only one pace in the straight and should be suited by longer trips than this.

John Mackie's representativereported that Thyne Man pulled up in a distressed state.

Andrew Thornton reported that Avadi was never travelling.
