Never out of a middle gear, he won without breaking sweat, cruising into the lead up the straight and scoring without being asked a question. He will make a tremendous novice hurdler next season, but before that he goes to the Champion Bumper, for which Coral understandably cut him to 6-1 from 8-1. He will go there with a serious chance, and, longer term, he is one of the best prospects around.
It Happened Out finished with some flourish to get fourth, but the rest are probably much of a muchness.
