FLORIDA DREAM put up a fine front-running effort, his only fault being the mistake at the final fence which did little to blunt his momentum. The Scottish National was mentioned as a possible target, and his style of racing would suit the Ayr contest, but he may need to post another couple of wins if he is to get into the handicap proper for an event in which his trainer has an excellent record.
Treasulier ran second here last month and he ran second here again. Always up there with Florida Dream, he gave valiant chase, but could not peg back the winner. He remains a maiden under Rules after 12 starts.
Bubble Boy also flattered only to deceive, but there was still much more to gain encouragement from here than in his previous two runs this season.
Walter's Destiny stayed on from miles behind, while Boddidley made early mistakes and was never able to get into contention, eventually being pulled up.
Flying Trix was staying on and not completely out of contention when brought down by Bertiebanoo - who was running a good race - at the cross fence.
