This was only her third run for trainer Mark Rimell, who admitted they had ridden her wrongly in racing prominenlty previously. She is not overbig and again hit the third-last hard, but she was seen to best effect here in a strongly-run race, having not looked a stayer over longer trips.
Wenger was taken noticeably wider on the fresher ground and travelled well through the race. He looked a big danger around the home turn but could only keep on at the one pace. His form has been on slightly easier tracks and a return to a speed track could see him maintain his good form.
Irish import Lets Try Again showed enough to be kept on the right side for the spring on drier ground.
