Jayed made sure there was a sound pace which suited Honan, who travelled well tucked away on the inside rail in the pack. Produced around the home bend, he won with the minimum of fuss, clearing away from the last as Isam Top struggled with both his higher mark and the drying ground, with probably the latter a bigger influence.
Jayed did well to battle back for second, having set a strong pace racing keenly. The ground was coming in his favour to help explain the big turnaround in form with Isam Top from their Fontwell run.
Dangerousdanmagru was never travelling with fluency at the back and the writing was on the wall passing halfway before the unequal struggle was given up. This was not his running and while connections wanted it heavy for him, the ground could not alone be blamed and connections were unable to offer any explanation when the stewards inquired.
