BRIGADIER DU BOIS travelled easiest at the strong pace andkept to the inside throughout. He looked like winning head in chest as he kicked clear around the home bend, but it was noticeable that his rider kept driving him out strongly from the second-last and he was all out and tired in the last 100yards.
Luckily, Sitting Duck, who set the strong pace, was also exhausted up the run-in, having again jumped badly right, which did not help his cause. He remains a maiden, but has been progressing for a change to jumping fences despite his tendency to go right over them.
Miss Wizadora was most disappointing. She jumped slowly mid-race to lose a good position and failed to rally under strong pressure.
