So much incident in this novice chase that the bare form is virtually meaningless. SIMON has to go down as a very fortunate winner as he would have been third but for Von Origny and Nayodabayo coming down at the second last and last respectively. He jumped a shade better on this occasion but it is difficult to fathom what trip he actually needs judged on previous efforts.

Bengo would have been closer to the eventual winner but for trying to take the last fence with him. His jumping will have to improve.

Von Origny had made quite a few errors before paying the price two out and will have to brush up significantly in that department.
