Arguably in beating selling hurdle winner At The Double and selling plater Eljutan, he has not had to achieve as much as in previous placings and any rise for thiswill leave him hard to place up another notch in class.
Eljutan looked like dropping away past halfway but he rallied strongly out of the back straight and sticking to the inside of the course worried At The Double out of second on the run in. He is another lightly-raced sort, although winless since his novice win here over four years ago, and may need dropping to a claimer or seller to pick up the winning thread.
Come Bye appears to need to dictate but he was also struggling against a new highest mark for his recent win, and in the conditions under his big weight he was not entirely disgraced.
