Once again there were few that really got into this and GLENGARRA was able to bounce back to winning form in style. He had slightly injured his back after a horrendous mistake when pulled up at Worcester in September but had shown his true worth at Stratford previously when scoring by a distance and was clearly back to his best. He travelled well in the lead throughout and had most of his rivals off the bridle when putting in another good leap at the third last. He pulled clear after and on this showing looks capable of making further progress over fences.

Lord On The Run chased the winner from the start and could only plug on at the same pace after two out, but looks capable of making his mark in this company.

Rookery Lad stayed on at one pace in the closing stages and was never really a threat, and Ground Breaker did make some progress after four out, but his effort was shortlived and he could only keep on at the same pace in the closing stages.
