BOARDROOM DANCER had not shown much in the last couple of years, albeit from few opportunities, but he ran a better race on his latest start and the switch to front-running tactics here paid off. He jumped soundly throughout and stayed on too well for his pursuers.
Cool Song, a stablemate of the winner, scored off a 5lb lower mark at Warwick two starts back and there were excuses last time. He ran a solid race and plugged on to claim second on the run-in.
Valley Warrior is a very limited performer and still a maiden, but he turned in a better run after his moody effort on Boxing Day.
