Weapons Inspector, into handicap company and lacking the experience of his rivals, took time to warm up but was close enough if good enough briefly along the back straight before he came to the end of his tether. He looks pretty slow but racing should improve him.
Of the others, Kingfisher Sunset ran a fair race but was held in third place when he came to grief two out with a weary-looking fall.
