Analyis of the race

Conditions took their toll on a number of these runners, with the sole exception of SABREFLIGHT, who found more problems with the hurdles than the ground. She made a couple of particularly ‘iffy' jumps throughout this race, but, under a positive ride, she came home clear of her toiling rivals. This win was not out of turn for a mare, who had never been out of the frame in her four previous starts, two hurdles and two bumpers.
