Hobbs Hill appeared to have done enough on his hurdles debut and first run of the season at the top of the home straight but could find no more once tackled. He gave the impression the ground would not have suited him that well and is worth another chance in this sort of grade.
Barton Legend and Historic Place had their chances at the end of the back straight. The former is nothing out of the ordinary but the latter is entitled to come on for the outing and his first try over hurdles as he was not a bad bumper horse two years ago.
