With two below-par runs behind him, HABITUAL DANCER showed some of last seasonís sparkle. After looking held he rallied in fine style to get on top in the closing stage and on this evidence he will stay further. His trainer felt he had not been finishing in his races this term, but also wondered if he had been tried too highly. Although he is not that big he is considered to be a "very athletic" horse and should make a chaser.

Carapuce took up the running three out looking the likely winner, but he was just run out of it. However he was clear of the third and there is a race of this quality in him.

Culcabock was in front turning into straight and then hung right and had soon given best, but he was 8lb out of the handicap, and all in all it might be considered, relatively, his best run of the term so far.
