The good pace helped OPERA KNIGHT who came from behind to lead on the inside rail a furlong out. He has looked temperamental in the past and was in front plenty early enough here but had enough left to hold on under pressure.
The good gallop also suited the running-on second Regency Red, who ran creditably under a penalty for his victory seven days earlier, and Diamond Dan, who was ridden some way out but kept on for third.
