MAGIC AMOUR has generally been running well here and left a low-key effort at Southwell two days earlier - when he reportedly lost a shoe - behind with a decisive success, leading two furlongs out and soon clear. This is more his surface than fibresand, and he will probably get seven furlongs here.
Trouble Maker was one of the few open to a little improvement and he ran a fair race on this drop in grade, taking second place inside the final furlong without threatening the winner. In turn he came clear of Leah's Pride, who was not entirely disgraced from her wide draw over a trip which may be too far for her, and Malahide Express, who led for a long way and is probably better at five furlongs.
Beverley Beau has yet to shine here and may be unsuited by the track.
Smirfys Party made late ground after being outpaced in rear early on but looks less than straightforward.
Enjoy The Buzz was hampered on the inside rail a furlong out but was up against it at the time.
