A run-of-the-mill handicap, run at a decent gallop, saw UNCLE JOHN return to winning form. This trip seemed to suit the winner, as indeed did this drop to selling company.

Armentieres made a bold bid from the front, but a blunder two out, justwhen she had started to come to the end of her tether, contributed to her defeat, which was pretty decisive in the end.

Power And Demand, returning from a lengthy absence, shaped with promise before fading after being asked for an effort late on.

Old-timer Colway Ritz was not disgraced, but Flemming never got into it.
